Back Exercises For Pregnant Women

At some point during pregnancy, women experience all sorts of pain. And one on the top list is back pain. This pain at the back is usually caused by the baby on your belly putting too much strain on your lower back. That great news is that it will go away as soon as the baby is born.

There are some stretching exercises that can keep your back on track - during and after pregnancy. These routines are safe for you and the baby, but in any discomfort you should stop right away. But no matter how safe it is you should always consult your physician first for approval before doing any exercises.

Pregnant or not, regular exercise boost your energy and keeps you healthy all throughout your pregnancy. It also helps your body adapt to the changes that is happening during this time. But don't get carried away unless you are in your best shape. Here are some guidelines.

1. Only mild to moderate routines for at least 30 minute a day so as not to strain yourself.

2. Refrain from doing back exercise after the first trimester, because it can decrease blood circulation to the uterus.

3. Never overdo it. Do not exhaust yourself.

4. Avoid doing exercises during hot or humid weather. It might dehydrate you.

5. Take extra water when you do your routines.

6. During your third trimester, refrain from doing exercises that may cause you to lose your balance.

7. If you feel any discomforts or you experience any of the following symptoms: vaginal bleeding, pain, lightheadedness, shortness of breath, contractions and vaginal fluid leak, STOP and call your physician immediately.

Exercising on your own at home is okay. But you can also consider enrolling yourself in one of the classes available for pregnant women. Highly certified instructors are conducting the classes which will make sure that all routines or exercises are effective and safe.
